From my house to yours: Have a happy thanksgiving.
Last week we talked about wanting, and today I want to take it a step further. Or a step back rather.
How about we want what we already have?
If we want what we already have, we are not always wanting for future things. It always starts with gratitude right here, right now.
When we start wanting what we already have, it connects us to the present and to the abundance that is already there. We just need to look.
For example:
I want a house in this neighborhood. I have a house in this neighborhood.
I want a job doing ...ABC. I have a job doing ...ABC.
I want 2 children. I have 2 children.
I want a good relationship with my in laws. I have a good relationship with my in laws.
I want a support group. I have a support group.
I want to stay fit. I am staying fit.
I want a dog. I have a dog.
I want a mentor. I have a mentor.
Just think of the things, people, pets, relationships, jobs you have. List them all and consciously be thankful for them.
Try it out. Thanksgiving seems to be a good time to do this exercise
