Tuesday Thoughts And All Will Be Well

Hi Friends,

 I  trust you were encouraged to celebrated the moment last week.

Often when I cook or bake, I listen to a German genre of music called " Schlager". They are an up beat, rhythmic, easy to listen to music style, that leaves you feeling good. Some of my German friends will not share this taste of mine in music :). So, as I was baking Christmas cookies, and listening to this genre, I heard one song where I said;

"I need to write a blog about that!".

Here we go. And don't worry, it's all translated for you.

 Lyrics to “Alles Wird Gut”

Intro

All will be well

Don't lose the thread (don't give up)

Verse 1

Hey, these are strange times, That cause you grief, We have to reckon with everything, Even with the good, believe me, Because miracles come overnight, And mostly unexpected. You don't have to understand that, Because unexpected often comes.

Refrain

Everything will be all right, You, I know that, oh, don't lose heart, Keep going, you can't just believe what you see, Because you never see miracles. Everything will be alright. You, I know that, oh, don't lose heart. Keep going, don't just believe what you see, Because miracles are magic.

The lyrics of "Alles Wird Gut" are such a comforting reminder for anyone going through a tough, stressful time. That simple phrase, “Everything will be alright,” feels like a warm hug, doesn’t it? That's why I chose the bear hug as a picture. It’s the kind of reassurance we need when life feels heavy or uncertain, especially in midlife, when so many of us are facing big changes. It reminds us that even when things seem overwhelming, they’re rarely permanent, and there’s always a way forward. And, especially, in these uncertain political times, as well.

I love the line about not just believing what you see. Isn’t that so true? Life’s most incredible moments—the little miracles, the unexpected joys—often show up out of nowhere. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s right in front of us, especially when things aren’t going well, but this lyric reminds us to hold onto faith. Even when we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, it’s there, waiting for the right moment to shine.

For women in midlife, these words feel especially meaningful. This season of life often brings change—some of it exciting, some of it downright scary. But these lyrics encourage us to keep moving forward, to trust that something good is on its way, even if it’s not obvious right now.

It’s about staying open, keeping the faith, and knowing that sometimes, the best things in life are the ones we never saw coming. And isn’t that a beautiful way to look at the future?

This weeks affirmation:

I am open to miracles.
