Hi Friends, Today's greeting will be super short as I was in the hospital waiting for my first grandchild to be born! Mom and baby are fine and I am an Omi now. The picture above is of an advent wreath; a German tradition, where you light a candle consecutively on the four Sundays before Christmas. It is a way to get ready for Christmas; to sit and ponder during the advent season. A tradition I tried to uphold in my family, but now the children are grown. Let's use the busy season to take a few moments to reflect, slow down, and breathe. The shopping, baking, the writing of cards and wrapping of gifts will all get done.
Take a moment each day, and maybe a little longer on each Sunday before Christmas to center yourself.
What traditions are worth keeping?
Is there something new I want to introduce?
How can I prepare myself for the holidays?
How do I take care of myself?
What can I delegate?
What is really important to me?
How can I integrate a time of reflection and pause during this season?
Here is your affirmation for the holiday season:
I allow myself to pause and reflect. Isabelle
Have a wonderful advent season and feel free to share a treasured tradition you hold. I would love to hear from you.
