Tuesday Thoughts And Speaking Up

Hi Friends, Whst did you implement last week? We all know people who speak up too much, don't listen and are just full of opinions and have no hesitation to let us know what they are. These are not the people I'm talking about today. Many women in my generation were raised with very authoritarian parents and systems that kept us quiet. Too quiet. Almost to the point of no return. In a recent interview, I was asked what I would tell a woman if she came to me and wanted to grow her confidence and level up. My answer? I would high five her and congratulate her for already having done a ton of work on herself. That first step to reach out is huge. And in fact, a woman did come to me and one of her goals was to speak up more. I applaud her. I respect her. And how exciting it is for me to see how she is implementing the tools I give her in private coaching. She is speaking up more. And she notices because I asked her to be aware of these moments so we can build on that success and add more to it. Women can speak up powerfully with kindness. Have you noticed? When we deal with whatever blocks us from speaking our mind, we can release that and relearn. Instead of taking it in, we can say "Hey! That wasn't right". Instead of walking away, we can say, "In my opinion..." Instead of quietly disagreeing, we can say " These are the facts for... ." Instead of people pleasing we can say, “I can't help you right now." Instead of feeling resentment for not being included, we can say, "Next time invite me." Instead of hiding in the background, we can step out and boldly proclaim our take on things. And you know what? It frees us. It empowers us in a good way. Even the Bible says to speak the truth in love. Lets show the world how it's done. Sign up to work with me, so you can learn this skill and impact everything around you in a positive way. Need help? Message me.
