Tuesday thoughts And Today


Hi Friends, Did you implement any of the terms from dealing with life's storms? I am so inspired as I was participating in a virtual seminar by the Brave Thinking Institute all weekend! It was like drinking water from a hose!! So much good information, story telling, teaching and encouragement. I just want to extract one thing for you today. And that is the above statement on the bookmark.

Today I will do what I can with what I have.

Isn’t that simple? Most of my tools are simple, which does not mean that they are EASY to implement. Let's take this apart: First of all, we start with awareness. Always. A is the first letter of the alphabet so remember to start with awareness. Awareness of what? Awareness of where you are and what you are discontent with. Now they spent quite some time on us noticing what that is and how long we have been discontent with this particular issue, but for the purpose of brevity, I want you to take the first thing that comes to mind when you think about something you are discontent with. I have learned to see these not as 100% bad, but as something that can give me energy to change. So what comes to mind? Write it down. It is either in an area of health and wellness, relationships, vocation or time and money freedom. The next step is to set an intention! Today! Not someday, or when I feel better, or when this and that happened, or after the holidays or…fill in the blank. The word is today. Today I, not your friend, not your spouse, not your boss, not a higher power.....Today I... You are with me so far? Ok, on to the next step. Today, I will do. You will not think about it, meditate on it, journal on it, tell someone about it.....Today you will do it. ACTION! Today, I will do, what I can.....We are making this super real and practical here. Do today what you can, what you are capable of, what you are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually able to do. Nothing is impossible here. Next step: Today, I will do what I can with what I have. Since you are doing it today, you are not waiting to have more health, more energy, more information, more research, more money, more interviews, more time, more inspiration. No, you will do something with what you already have. The background of the bookmark shows the blueprint of a house. One of Mary Morrisey's (the presenter of the seminar) sons, wanted a bigger house for his growing family. His mom asked him if she could help, because in his eyes, her life coaching was for other people. (I know the feeling) ;) So, he implemented this tool. What did he have? A discontent with the fact that his oldest son didn't even have a full room for himself, but a make shift room, after his twin sisters were born. He also had awareness of this. Then he decided, YES, Mom, you can help me. And made the intention to something that day. What did he have in front of him? A napkin. Good enough. He drew up the primitive plans of his house on the napkin. That was step number one, and as it happens when we start moving in the direction of our dreams, all of a sudden another idea pops up, and he remembered he had this piece of land. Not zoned, no money to build on, nothing else. A napkin, a piece of land and a dream. To make a long story short, he implemented many more tools, and took a lot more action, and DID NOT GIVE UP, and eventually, he had a new bigger house for his family. This is not woo woo or magic or anything like that. As it was explained in the seminar, these are tools that are operating on the grounds of universal laws.


For we walk by faith, not by sight.
