Hi friends, how are you? I really wanted to show you the video I took this picture from, but until I have that process figured out, it will be in written words. For one of the 20 days in my emotional resilience FB group, the topic was remembering. On Memorial day, when we remember the fallen, I challenged us to remember something in your past that you have accomplished. I want you to not only remember, but to acknowledge yourself for it. Give yourself credit. Like one day I can acknowledge myself for showing a video in my newsletter, lol. But really. Start with one thing. Here are some examples to get you thinking:
I fed my kids
I cooked a healthy meal
I exercised
I read a chapter in a new book
I finished college
I started college
I signed up for a class
I talked to an old friend
I payed the bills
I listened to my friend
I sent a card
I kept my kids school going during COVID
I cleaned one room in my house
I took care of a sick parent
I showed my love to my adult children by calling them, inviting them....
These are just some ideas to get you thinking. Why am I telling you to do this? Because you are craving to be validated. We all need it to some degree. So instead of waiting for someone else to validate you, start doing it yourself. See what happens. Please share with me if you are trying this new skill and how it impacts your life. I can't wait to gear from you. PS: Message me for a free consult . You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.
Until next time,
Isabelle
