Hi friends,
how are you?
When you read this it will be my daughters 16 th Birthday. We also celebrated my youngest son's 14th Birthday and a 18th Birthday.
Those are milestones that we would like to celebrate quite differently.
So the question became : What can we do?
Please notice the hilarious Birthday cake, aka toilet paper roll. Compliments go to my Nadia who just sees a picture and goes from there. Amazing.
We also planned the car parades, by inviting friends and family to drive by at a certain time of the day. I feel like its fun for the participants too!
I scheduled zoom calls with friends far and near and asked them to share how they met the Birthday child. I also asked them to share a funny experience they had with them.
Yes, I got the "Mom!" Don't ask that or "Don't record!" ....but hey, I'm a mom after all and I needed to capture these moments.
Of course we do the regular Birthday cake routine. We tried singing over the phone, with the adult children who have already moved out. That was interesting. It's just not the same.
We did and are doing what we can do.
What can you do?
Instead of :
I can't go to the gym.
I can't meet my friends. I can't go to the restaurant. I can't go to the beach. I can't host a party. I can't.....fill in the blank.
What can you do?
I can find an online exercise video for now.
I can buy Issi's magnetic lashes until the salons open ;)
I can call my family members.
I can deliver food to those who need it.
I can stay positive so that I can be a light to others.
I can visit church services via life stream
I can hold team meetings via zoom.
I can make my own fancy latte at home.
What can you do?
Stay encouraged my friends.

You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.
Until next time,
