Hi friends, how are you? How is your summer going? We just came back from Colorado, where we attended a memorial for our nephew. And we added a week of vacation. I always wanted to go. Sadly, this is what made it happen. But the topic today is : TRYING NEW THINGS. Why is it important to try new things?
you literally create new synapses in your brain
it creates variety
you challenge yourself
it fills part of your human need for adventure
it shows you that you can grow
it boosts your confidence
it stimulates your brain
it shows your children that it's ok to try new thing
it might increase serotonin and dopamine levels
it gets you out of a rut
So for me, sleeping in a camping hammock in the Colorado mountains was definitely new and challenging. But I wanted to. It was worth it. My oldest son took great care in setting it up so we would be warm and comfy. My two youngest children stayed the night too. The view was spectacular. I didn't sleep really, cause i am a stomach sleeper, and my sleeping bag moved around....but the view of the stars and the moon was worth it. Knowing that I did it, was worth it.
And the view of the mountain range in the morning was spectacular.
You don't have to go hammocking .
You could just take a different way home.
Or shop in another grocery store.
Or read a book out of your common genre.
Walk at a different park.
Greet a new person at church.
You get the idea. What are you trying new today? This week? This month?
PS: Message me for a free consult to start moving forward..
You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.
Until next time,
Isabelle
