Hi Friends, What did you implement last week? These pictures were taken a year ago in Colorado. We were on our way to Pike's Peak Summit. It’s 14,000 feet high. No, I don't have a great hiking story nor do I have great pictures from the summit. Here's why… We drove to a parking lot from where a shuttle would take us further up to the summit. I knew the forecast said clouds by the time we reached the summit. Out of the corner of my eye I saw these beautiful formations of red rocks. The rock formations were right next to the parking lot where these pictures were taken. It is called Devil’s Playground. The sun was out and the view from there was great. So, I decided to play at Devil’s Playground. It was strikingly beautiful. I knew I would regret not having explored it. So, we decided to explore, take pictures and take a later shuttle to the summit. My kids must have been mountain goats in their former lives because they climb and stretch and hop like mountain goats. Must be their upbringing with a German mom who let them climb and do all these things. :) What's my point? I know you are wondering where this is going. My point is that it is not always the summit that is breath taking. Don't miss the beauty on the way up. Stop and explore and enjoy. I am so glad I did. When we got to the summit, it was grey and cloudy and cold. We ate overpriced fries and chili. Nothing great to talk about. Devil’s Playground, though, I will remember. That was a happy place with a weird name:) What is the summit you are trying to reach? Are you stopping for the beauty on the way up? Are you giving yourself time to stop and explore? Don't miss it. Allow it. It's OK to rearrange your agenda. If you need help with adjusting your plans - your goals, let me help. I help you see the beauty on the way. Message me.
